Medicare Advantage Plans
Individuals can recieve their Part A and Part B Medicare benefits by joining a Medicare Advantage plan, also referred to as Medicare Part C. Medicare Advantage Plans provide Part A and Part B Medicare coverage, except hospice. All Medicare-covered services a MA plan beneficiary recieves while in hospice care are paid by the Original Medicare plan.
In addition to Part A and Part B Medicare coverage, MA plans often offer extra benefits such as vision, hearing, dental, and/or health and wellness programs. Many Medicare Advantage plans may also include prescription drug coverage.
